The LTSO Annual Fall Get Together
The LTSO Fall Get Together is a unique opportunity for lung transplant patients, their families, caregivers, our sponsors, and medical professionals to come together in a relaxed and informal setting. You can connect with others who have shared experiences, catch up with old friends, and make new friends. The Lung Transplant Support Organization volunteers are on hand to meet and greet everyone to make you feel at home. The picnic is a great place to exchange information, ask questions, have a great time, and relax.
Scottsdale Ranch Park is the new location for the 2023 LTSO Fall Get Together. “The park has plenty to do to keep kids and adults entertained for hours, including a small botanical garden,” according to the blog Phoenix with Kids.
Blog author Kim Gudykunst Ollerhead writes, “The Desert Garden at Scottsdale Ranch is at the corner of Lakeview Drive and Via Linda. It is free and open to the public, designed to enhance understanding of the nearby McDowell Mountain area. The garden has three zones: hummingbird nest for the low desert area, saguaro, bat sanctuary for the high desert, and a butterfly garden for the riparian community area.”
This park is about a 5-minute drive East of Shea and the 101. Plenty of parking throughout the park.
All are welcome. If you already had your transplant, are waiting for your transplant, or are being evaluated for a transplant, come along and join us. We are here to support you.
The activity is outdoors under a shaded Ramada No. 8. Bring an appetite. Mike, the LTSO professional volunteer Chef, is at the grill BBQ-ing up the most delicious food. You will enjoy the sides, salads, and beverages with a barbeque picnic.
Please RSVP to Glenn Hutchinson’s email: g_hutchinson@gotmask.org with your name, contact number and the number of people attending.
